Communications Director

Jaewon Jung is a communications professional and multimedia journalist with experience covering stories related to the Asian American community and the greater Los Angeles area. Her passion for storytelling and engaging with others has led her to pursue a career in communications. At One APIA Nevada, she hopes to represent the full diversity of the Asian Pacific Islander American community with various communications tools. She holds a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton in cinema and television arts and a master's degree from the University of Southern California in communication management. 


Executive Director

Duy Nguyen founded One APIA Nevada in 2018 to advocate for policies that empower the Asian Pacific Islander Americans in Nevada. Serving as the vice president and COO of Asian Community Development Council, he has worked on the investment, education and engagement of the APIA community and helped to increase voter turnout in the 2018 midterm election. Nguyen holds a B.S. in business management and a M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix. He has also graduated from the prestigious America’s Leaders of Change program by the National Urban Fellows, an invitation-only leadership program.


Deputy Director

Before his position as Deputy Director for One APIA Nevada and Director of Outreach for Asian Community Development Council, Jeng was an executive assistant at an equity firm in Washington D.C. and worked as a travel coordinator for a presidential campaign. In 2018, he spearheaded an extensive community outreach program in Nevada, knocking on 60,000 doors and making 169,000 calls combined to Asian and Pacific Islander voters. Jeng holds a degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.


Deputy Political Director

Koo's passion for increasing access to democracy and engaging with Asian American voters has led her to her current position as Deputy Political Director for One APIA Nevada. She has previously worked with the Asian Community Development Council and a presidential campaign in Reno. When she's not working, she also enjoys soaking up sun and traveling around the world. She holds a dual degree in Chinese and political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
