About the Role

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Field Manager, canvassers will help execute One APIA Nevada’s field programs in Clark County and Washoe County, including voter education and outreach and get-out-the-vote campaigns. Other projects and responsibilities may be added as needed.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with a dynamic team of field canvassers, including but not limited to:

    • Working with Field Managers to hit daily goals and communicate any barriers or blocks to daily field program

    • Actively maintaining the Quality Control (QC) process

    • Attend all necessary training and be able to accurately apply the training to the field, including all necessary information about voter registration deadlines and how to vote via mail

QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires significant time spent outside in inclement weather.

  • Working knowledge of Google Mail and timekeeping system

  • Must have a consistent reliable mode of transportation

  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with all members of the community

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings

  • Ability to work with flexible hours/schedules

  • Ability to stand for 3-4 hours and occasionally carry boxes >30 pounds

  • Familiarity with Nevada politics or Asian and Pacific Islander community's experience in the Battle Born state is a plus, but not required
